We hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the summer weather.
Although this heat is not exactly ideal candle-making weather, we have still been busy behind the scenes building up stock for our upcoming markets and summer fairs. There has been lots of pouring, testing, planning and preparing going on at Chewius Candles HQ.
We have also started looking ahead to the cosier months and have been choosing some beautiful autumn and winter fragrances ready for later in the year. After all, is it ever too early to start thinking about Halloween and Christmas? We don’t think so!
We also wanted to let you know that it is almost time for Chewius the cat’s summer holiday. Our website will remain open and orders can still be placed as usual, but we will be unable to post out any orders between 19th July and 23rd July while Chewius is taken for a much-needed break to the seaside. She is a very particular boss, and apparently even candle-making cats need annual leave.
Please bear this in mind if you place an order during those dates, as dispatch will resume once we are back.
We hope you all have a lovely next couple of weeks, and we cannot wait to share our new fragrances with you very soon.

Exciting Things Are Happening at Chewius Candles!
It has been such an exciting time here at Chewius Candles, and we are so grateful for all the support we have received so far.
Over the coming weeks, we will be introducing lots of beautiful new fragrances to our collection, with even more cosy candles and wax melts being made behind the scenes. From sweet bakery-inspired scents to fruity favourites, comforting florals and luxurious perfume-style fragrances, there is so much more to discover.
Things have been getting busier, too — so much so that we have had to buy a larger wax melter to help us keep up with demand! It means we can make more of your favourite scents, create bigger batches, and bring even more Chewius Candles products to you.
We are also very excited to share that we have secured stall tables at three upcoming events and craft fairs. This means you will be able to come and meet us in person, browse our candles and wax melts, have a sniff of our new fragrances, and hopefully find something special to take home.
There is still so much more to come in the near future, and we cannot wait to share it all with you.
A Special Event Close to Our Hearts
We would also like to make a very special mention of the Family Fun Day on 21st August 2026, taking place at Swallwell Jrs Football Club between 12pm and 4pm.
This event is being held to raise money for lifesaving treatment for a little boy named Cody, who has Sanfilippo Syndrome. Sadly, the NHS cannot provide the treatment Cody needs, so his mam is raising money to take him abroad in the hope of getting him the help he desperately needs.
Chewius Candles will be attending the event, and we will be donating 50% of all money taken on the day towards Cody’s treatment.
We would love to encourage as many people as possible to come along, have some fun, support the stalls, enjoy the day, and help raise vital funds for Cody. It is a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together for an incredibly important cause.

We’re Live!
Today is a very exciting day, Chewius Candles has officially gone live!
I’m so happy to finally be able to share my little candle business with you all. This is just the beginning, and there is still so much more to come.
I’m currently working on making more candles, so if something you love is showing as out of stock, please don’t worry, I’m hoping to have more available over the next few weeks. I’ll also be adding more fragrances in the coming month, along with wax melts in our signature scents.
Thank you so much for all of your support so far. Every kind word, share, order and bit of encouragement truly means the world. I’m so excited for what’s ahead and I look forward to making beautiful, hand poured candles for you to enjoy.
